Service Description
Join us for a fun and inspiring Open Sewing Session where you can bring any project you’d like to work on and enjoy two full hours of dedicated creative time with assistance from Veronica. Whether you’re brand-new to sewing or you’re an experienced maker looking for a social space to create, this welcoming session is designed to help you make progress, learn new skills, and enjoy the joy of sewing in a friendly community environment. You’re welcome to bring absolutely any sewing project—garments, quilts, bags, accessories, small repairs, pattern cutting, or something that’s been waiting in your “someday I’ll finish this” pile. If you don’t have a project yet, you can come practice foundational skills on provided fabric or choose from available kits to start something new. This session is all about sewing your way, at your pace, in a supportive setting where questions are encouraged and creativity is celebrated. Throughout the evening, Veronica will be there to help with machine troubleshooting, navigating pattern instructions, cutting your fabric, planning your workflow, or tackling specific techniques like zippers, seams, corners, linings, pattern layout, and more. Whether you need hands-on assistance or just reassurance while you try something new, you’ll have guidance every step of the way. To make your sewing experience even smoother, large cutting tables and ironing stations will be available for pressing, prepping, and assembling your projects. Please bring your own sewing machine and the supplies needed for your chosen project. If you’re unsure what to bring, Veronica can help you determine the essentials before class. Fabric for practice is included, and project kits are available for purchase if you want something fun and ready to sew. This session is also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow sewists, share ideas, and enjoy a relaxed creative night out. It’s a space where you can learn, experiment, get inspired, and feel supported no matter your skill level. Feel free to bring your own drink and snack! Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule a sewing class or session, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@sewamusing.com so that we can fill your spot. If we are able to fill your spot then you will get a 100% refund, minus $5 service fee. If we are unable to fill your spot, then we can offer a full credit toward another class, or a 50% refund on your original class. Thanks for supporting our small business! The class is designed for ages 13 and up. If you have a child younger than 13 interested in sewing, then please reach out to me for private lessons. All participants will need to sign a waiver before class. Classes will be held at San Carlos Art Circles in San Carlos, CA. Directions and instructions for parking and easy unloading/loading of your sewing machine will be sent as the class date approaches.
